Five former warehouse workers and drivers for the renowned Asian food supplier H Mart reached an agreement to resolve their wage theft claims against the company for $118,000. The workers claimed in their lawsuit that H Mart deducted an hour from their wages on each day worked for supposed break times, even though the workers did not receive or take officially designated breaks during their workdays. The workers sued to recover unpaid wages and other damages under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law.Louis Pechman and Galen Baynes were the principal attorneys handling the case for the workers.
