The Fair Labor Standards Act has been on the books since 1938, but only recently have workers been actively pursuing their right to minimum wage and overtime pay.  Overtime and minimum wage lawsuits have surged in recent years, and currently comprise approximately 10% of the federal court docket in New York and that number is rising.

Over the last ten years, Lou Pechman has established a reputation as the “go to” litigator for overtime and wage theft cases.  He has litigated over 200 cases in this specialized area of the law.  Lou moderates an annual program on “How to Handle a Wage and Hour Case” at New York County Lawyers Association and is a frequent lecturer on overtime pay topics to business groups.
